Anker Prime Charger 250W Lets You Adjust the Power Output Using a Side Knob

With so many devices we own now requiring to be recharged, it’s more important than ever to have a ton of charging ports on your desktop. And we’re not just talking about regular USB-A ports, you’ll need some serious high-output charging sots to really make it worthwhile. That’s exactly what they deliver with the Anker Prime Charger 250W.

That’s right, Anker’s newest desktop charger brings up to 250W of high-powered output, allowing you to charge compatible devices as fast as possible. No more waiting long hours to recharge your laptop, tablet, or phone, as this thing can provide whatever power delivery your device can handle.

The Anker Prime Charger 250W is a charging hub designed for desktops, giving you a handy place to charge a bunch of gadgets without having to reach for those awkward ports at the back of your tower PC. It comes with six ports, with four USB-C and two USB-A, allowing you to charge a half dozen devices simultaneously. The main USB-C can deliver up to 140W all on its own, making it ideal for charging laptops and similarly larger devices. According to Anker, it can charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro to 50 percent in just 25 minutes, making it a highly-efficient charger.

The other three USB-C ports, all of them situated out front, can deliver up to 100W each, although actual power delivery will depend on how many devices are charging (it can only do 240W total). The other two slots, which are both USB-A, can deliver up to 22.5W and are accessible from the side. In the event all six ports are used, the main USB-C port will deliver 100W, the other three USB-C slots will output 45W, and the two USB-A ports on the side will feed any plugged devices 15W each.

The Anker Prime Charger 250W also has a small knob that lets you dial up or dial down the amount of power the charger delivers. That’s right, you can crank it up when you’re in a hurry or lower the output if you want to take your time for whatever reason. There’s a large display out front that shows the device’s total power output, as well as the individual outputs for each of the four USB-C slots. That way, you can clearly see how much power is being subtracted or added whenever you play with the dial. It has a built-in algorithm that detects the individual power requirements for each device you plug in, by the way, allowing it to deliver the right amount of power, ensuring safe charging, regardless of the device you’re plugging in.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to monitor the charger via a companion app, which allows you to check charging status and even set different charging modes, such as dual-laptop mode, which charges two laptops with equal amounts of power, and port priority allocation, which lets you define two ports to prioritize with higher power delivery. There’s even an option to use the device’s screen as a desk clock with various digital faces available, so it stays useful even when you’re not using it to charge your devices.
